How to Enable Voice Search


Android Phones

Step 1: Tap on Microphone Button to Voice Search

Step 2: Speak Out the Desired Input

Please note: earlier versions of Android OS may not support voice dictation.

iPhones

Step 1. Turn on Siri to Enable Voice Dictation

Go to Settings > General > Siri > Siri > On

Step 2: Tap on Microphone Button to Voice Search

 

Please note: only iPhones that have Siri can do voice search.

Windows Phone 10

Step 1: Connect to a Network

Go to System Application > Wifi > On > Choose a Network > Connect

Step 2: Tap on Microphone Button to Voice Search

 

Please note: earlier models of Windows Phone do not support voice search.

Blackberry Phones 10.3

Step 1: Turn on Voice Dictation

Go to
Settings > Language & Input > Voice Dictation > Dictation > On

Step 2: Tap on Microphone Button to Voice Search

 

Please note: earlier models of Blackberry phones do not support voice search.

iPads

Step 1: Turn on Siri to Enable Voice Dictation

Step 1: Check if Google Voice Typing is On

By default, it's checked. If not, go to
Settings >System > Language and input > Google Voice Typing >On.

Step 2: Tap on Microphone Button to Voice Search

Mac OSX

Step 1: Set up Voice Dictation

Go to System Preferences > Dictation & Speech > Dictation > On.

Step 2:Press Shortcut to Voice Search

Press the keyboard shortcut (default Fn Fn) for starting dictation.

Or Choose Edit > Start Dictation

Windows 7, Windows 8

Step 1: Set up Speech Recognition

Go to Control Panel > Ease of Access> Speech Recognition.

Ensure microphone is connected to your computer. You can use a laptop's built-in microphone.

Click the Start Speech Recognition option.

Windows will walk you through setting up your microphone and getting started.

Step 2: Press Hot Key to Voice Search

Press the hot key you chose during speech recognition setup.
If you have set up the voice activation mode, simply say "Start Listening".

A speech recognition bar will appear at the top fo the screen to show status.
